This is our first #ShopfloorHeroes blogpost of 2020 and we're looking forward to sharing lots of awesome content from our clients this year! For our first blogpost back we wanted to share two awesome conversation we have seen over the past week from Hobbycraft Lincoln and Hobbycraft Preston that are both in regards to customer makes.
This conversation began when Hobbycraft Preston quote shared a broadcast from Hobbycraft Telford which featured some items made with some fabric sold in Hobbycraft stores. Preston have asked their customers whether they are planning to make any items using their sewing machine this year and have mentioned that the store have some great fabrics in stock. This has encouraged a customer to engage with the store and share one of their projects.
This conversation is great because store colleague Fiona has ensured to personalise her responses using a personal sign-off. Her replies are light-hearted which work to create a good rapport between the customer and the store.
This conversation began when Hobbycraft Lincoln asked their customers what they had been crafting. The store's customer, Hayley, responded to the store with a photo of a cable jumper that she is currently working on. Store colleague Tabby has responded promptly to the customer within the same day and has asked her to share her finished make when she has completed it. This is fantastic as it encourages future conversation.
It is great to see stores actively encouraging conversation with their customers by asking them questions. These conversations are good examples of how a store can find out more about their local customers and build a good rapport.
