Happy October. It’s spooky season at last!

 

For this week’s #ShopfloorHeros blogpost we have picked out one of the awesome conversations from a Hobbycraft store that we have seen over the past week and have also selected a couple of Halloween themed broadcasts to get us in an autumnal mood!

 

Over the past week we have seen many stores encouraging their customers to check out Hobbycraft’s online Christmas craft workshops that will be taking place in the lead up to Christmas. Hobbycraft Warrington’s customer, Amy, has responded to the store's broadcast regarding the online workshops to enquire further. Store colleague Sarah has responded promptly within the same day to let the customer know the information that she requires. Sarah has even encouraged the customer to share her makes in the future, this is awesome.

 

This is also a good example of how store's can encourage customers to use Twitter as a channel of communication rather than having to ring the store by phone.

 

 

 

Here are two of our favourite Halloween themed broadcasts from the week. It’s great to see stores creating engaging broadcasts whilst also showcasing their colleagues amazing talent.

 

Store colleague Keren from Hobbycraft Imperial has created this amazing Halloween themed painting. Including colleagues in tweets is a lovely way to share their talent and encourage followers to reach out for help and advice on their next project.

 

 

 

This tweet from Hobbycraft Loughton is great as it shows some of the products that are currently in-store. Store colleague Liv has used personal sign-offs which adds a more personal feel to the store’s Twitter timeline.

 

 

Why not try and engage with your customers? There is a great opportunity to offer great customer service through an online platform such as Twitter.
